| Kugeltov Klezmer Quartet is a Wellington ensemble which includes Robin Perks (violin), Tui Clark (clarinet), Ross Harris (accordion), and Malcolm Struthers (bass). The group plays with all the energy one would expect from Jewish folk music, but also takes the genre in the direction of chamber music. Three of the members are professional orchestral players, and all four are passionate about the music they play.
They will present a varied programme of traditional music, ‘spiced up’ with original pieces by Ross Harris, which extend elements of traditional klezmer in new directions. On this occasion, they will be joined by NZSO Co-principal Clarinet Philip Green.
