| Three well-known principals from the NZSO – Vesa-Matti Leppänen (violin), Andrew Thomson (viola), Andrew Joyce (cello) – are joined by renowned pianist Diedre Irons, formerly the head of piano studies at the NZ School of Music, to perform as a piano quartet. The quartet’s previous Sunday concert was considered “a most satisfying concert … rewarding and performed with the greatest musicality, zest and imagination” by Middle-C.
